CDs for Parkinson's: My Aunt Selma is 70+ and has
Parkinson's, and lives in a nursing home in New Jersey. Her
kids, my first cousins, have put together a beautiful
musical fundraiser, a 2-disc CD called
Parkinsong. The CD sells for $20. If you would
be interested in buying one or more of these, please contact
me and I will bring them to chorus. The CD is a compilation
of all different artists and music styles. Even Bonnie Raitt
donated a song! This is a good cause and a great CD.
Thanks for considering my request. All $$$$ goes to
Parkinson's research.

Wayne Beeler's album
(circa. 1973) is available on CD. Suggested donation
is $15. Proceeds benefit his loving wife, Boneda, and
will help to offset the medical expenses incurred
during his illness. The songs are "classic" gospel
music such as:
"The King is Coming", "Fill My Cup Lord", "Because He
Lives", "He Touched Me", "How Great Thou Art" and more.
To order, send check or money order to Staci
White, P.O. Box 607, Alva, FL 33920. You may also
pay via
Paypal
without leaving your chair.
Contact Staci for
further information.
Perhaps a new package of cassette tapes? Perhaps a
headphone set? Something else? Well, check Lost
and Found at the Spirit Info. Center (IC) room at the next
rehearsal! There are some interesting items in that box!

CROWN SPECIALTIES in the
Edison Mall is located just inside the Main Mall
Entrance where you face Burdines/Macy's. As you enter
through the outside glass doors, the shop is the first
one on the right.
Crown Specialties
sells synthetic wigs, and many different kinds of
hair-pieces. They are beautiful and natural looking.
Even if a wig isn't right for you, there are many other
pieces that would look great for you.
Many of the
hairpieces are mounted on a Banana Comb (Alligator Clip)
or as scrunchies. They come straight, curly, wavy and
with tiny braids. They are very easy for one to place
on their own hair. They are great for getting a new look
quickly. The wigs are wonderful and I find that many of
the ladies buy the wigs to go to the beach, so when they
go out in the evening, they look great! Travelers seem
to enjoy them too. Posted 5/17/2005 Re-posted

Sight Night Volunteers
will be in your neighborhood during trick-or-treat to
collect used eyeglasses and sunglasses. Sight Night is a
community service project sponsored by the Give the Gift
of Sight Foundation and Lions Clubs International. The
eyeglasses collected will be repaired, classified by
prescription and given to people in developing countries
who cannot afford eyeglasses. If we miss you on Sight
Night, please drop off used glasses at any of these
optical stores: Lenscrafters, Pearle Vision, Sears
Optical, Target Optical, BJ's Optical and Sunglass Hut.
Thank you!

Misc. (cont.) Breast Cancer Sister Study -
Are you the sister of a breast cancer
patient. The Sister Study is looking for 17,000 women by
2007 for a 10 year study on lifestyles of sisters of breast
cancer patients. There are only two conditions. #1-Your
sister has to have had or currently has breast cancer. #2
That you are a woman (OK, so that part was easy). The study
is looking at lifestyle effects to help find a cure for
breast cancer. The goal is for a total of 50,000 women and
the study is over half way there. If you are interested in
actively helping find a cure for breast cancer, contact the
Sister Study at 1-877-4SISTER or www. sisterstudy.org.
